ATTN: Ex-Pats

I need help. I have a Google Voice number but receive maybe half of the text messages sent to it, which is a big problem. Have any of you had a similar problem, and if so do you know how to fix it? Alternately, do you know of any other services that offer the ability to receive text messages (sent to a US number) on the web?
