Nike, my wallet, and completely irregular sizes.
I have a really nice pair of Nike running shoes that I wear to the gym sometimes. I only wear them sometimes because they don’t properly fit me at all, and make my toes tingle and ultimately go numb. I know, I know, my fault, but I didn’t notice it when I first purchased them so woe is me.
The interesting thing is this: this morning I inspected them to see what size they were before purchasing a new pair today.
I’m a well seasoned traveler. I know sizes are rarely accurate and thanks to wide feet and high arches, my shoe size can range anywhere from a woman’s 8.5 to a 10 US. Never have I ever been sized into anything larger than a 10 US or a 41 EUR.
Or so I thought. My Nike trainers are a 42.5 EUR. A women’s 11 in the States. And they’re too small.
The shoes are pink, by the way, and clearly state on the box that they are a US women’s 9.
Nike is whacked.
