Of note

I’m the only American in my class, but somehow everyone else seems to think they know more about American culture and traditions than someone who lived there for the better part of 18 years.

Yesterday, some kid told me that all American students are required to sing the National Anthem before school begins (because he had seen it on a TV show).

Additionally, my teacher told me I’m not allowed to doodle in my notebook during class which is just bizarre. However, I did have to get that written into my 504 or whatever it’s called when it’s not an IEP but you need special rules because you’re a ~*~special snowflake~*~.

Whatever.
