- Elizabeth: I’m not going to sleep soon, I’m going to keep talking to you. It’s really hard to talk all night because then you get out of breath and don’t sleep well. When you don’t sleep well at night, you get crabby in the morning, like a monster. Know what happens if you don’t get enough sleep? You turn into a monster the next morning. Soon, in the morning, will it be tomorrow? Because my parents are going to pick me up tomorrow, after we go to the beach really quickly before you go to school.
- Me: No, they’re picking you up in the afternoon, after you watch my lacrosse game!
- Elizabeth: Me?
- Me: Yep.
- Elizabeth: And play!?
- Me: No silly, watch the game!
- Elizabeth: Oh, okay, good.
- Me: Are you going to sleep now?
- Elizabeth: Yes
- Me: Goodnight.
